<strong>Toll</strong> remote Logistics – Working with BHP Billiton<br />
to Bring Christmas Cheer to Zambian Orphans<br />

Zambia support operation got<br />
together with staff from BHP<br />
Billiton to help bring some Christmas<br />
cheer to children from a local<br />
orphanage.<br />
As one of the world’s poorer countries,<br />
where 17 percent of adults aged 15<br />
to 49 are infected with HIV, Zambia<br />
has more than its share of troubles<br />
and more than its share of orphans.<br />
In order to provide a day of relief, staff<br />
from <strong>Toll</strong> Remote Logistics and BHP<br />
Billiton invited children from a local<br />
orphanage to come and join them for<br />
a Christmas celebration.<br />
Staff arranged games and activities<br />
including a jumping castle, a live band<br />
and a visit from Santa to top it all off.<br />
Santa’s gifts were a real hit with the<br />
children, each receiving a school<br />
backpack full of books, pens and<br />
stationery.<br />
Malaysian Team Supports Local Children’s Home<br />
On the 11 December 2010,<br />
the team from <strong>Toll</strong> Global<br />
Forwarding in Malaysia spent<br />
the day with the children from the<br />
Rumah Amal Anak Yatim YPIN at<br />
KLCC Aquarium.<br />
This home provides refuge for orphans<br />
and children who have been abandoned,<br />
abused and neglected. There, they are<br />

All staff, as well as their young guests<br />
had a great time and are already<br />
looking forward to next year. Not that<br />
they will have to wait that long to catch<br />
up though, with <strong>Toll</strong> Remote Logistics<br />
committing to help the orphanage with<br />
repairs and maintenance through the<br />
given shelter, love and care, and<br />
a chance to lead a normal life.<br />
To support the work of the home,<br />
staff at <strong>Toll</strong> gave their time and energy<br />
generously to spend time with the<br />
children at the aquarium.<br />

year. Hopefully next year, the children<br />
have even more to smile about.<br />

to BHP Billiton’s mobile mining<br />

The whole experience left a lasting<br />
impact on the children, and the staff<br />
