Y3. Rotate the wheel wrench to the left to lower the jacklift head until it fits under the vehicle.4. Near each wheel well is a notch in the frame toposition the jack head. You’ll find the word JACKand an arrow stamped into the plastic near eachnotch. Position the jack under the vehicle and raisethe jack head until it fits firmly against the sheetmetal next to the word JACK. Do not raise thevehicle yet. Put the compact spare near you.5-25
Getting under a vehicle when it is jacked up isdangerous. If the vehicle slips off the jack, youcould be badly injured or killed. Never get undera vehicle when it is supported only by a jack.Raising your vehicle with t,,, jack improperlypositioned can damage the vehicle and even makethe vehicle fall. To help avoid personal injury andvehicle damage, be sure fit to the jack lift headinto the proper location before raisingthe vehicle.15. Raise the vehicle by rotating the wheel wrench to theright.
