ABRASIVESMirka is a world leader in abrasives technologyand innovation. We are offering a complete rangeof technically superior, high quality coated, netand non-woven abrasives for surface finishing indiscs, strips, sheets, rolls and belts.26

THE NET FAMILYNET BY MIRKAMirka’s innovative ‘Net’ sanding concept is unlike anyother. The patented construction consists of a densenetwork of polyamide fabric threads onto which theabrasive grit is bonded. This open weave, net structuremeans that no dust particle is more than 0.5mm froma dust extraction hole. The result is phenomenal dustextraction across the entire abrasive surface and virtuallydust-free sanding! The exceptional dust extraction ability of the MirkaNet products has to be seen to be believed. Tests haveshown that Net products produce a miniscule amount ofdust compared to conventional dry sanding technologywith extraction. The Mirka Net products are so efficientat removing potentially dangerous sanding dust theyminimize dust contamination in the workplace andcreates a far healthier environment.Mirka Net products eliminate the frustrating problemof dust clogging the abrasive and creating pills whichcause defects in the sanding surface. Therefore, theNet product retains its original aggressive sandingperformance for far longer resulting in fewer abrasivesbeing needed for a given job. Since dust is continuouslybeing sucked away it’s always possible to see exactlywhat is happening at the sanding surface. This gives theuser greater control over the job and avoids problemssuch as over sanding. The Mirka sanding Nets are completely even. Withthousands of holes they provide a phenomenal dustextraction. The maximum distance from each sandingparticle to the closest dust extraction hole is 0.5 mm.Long-term investment in innovation pays off. Mirkawas the first abrasives company in the world to developa dust-free sanding system. It was a five-year process tobring this revolutionary technology to the market andalmost ten years to gain buy-in to the market. It has beenwell worth it. Our net abrasives have won many productinnovation awards and have been a best seller across theglobe. The story will continue.NO DUST27
