The test is carried out as indicatedunder paragraph 4.7.8 of specifications MIL-T-7928.After crimping the terminal to a suitable length of wire, itis placed in a standard tensile testing machine andsufficient force is applied to pull the wire out of theterminal or break the wire, or the terminal.The lower curve on charts 9074 and 975 plots theminimum pull out force expected for the various wiresizes crimped. The upper curve plots average pull outforces measured in actual tests on numerous samples.All Hollingsworth Military approved terminals exceedMIL-T-7928 Tensile Strength requirements.64
