Are you a team player? If so, you maywant to consider enrolling at the <strong>Canadian</strong> <strong>Coast</strong> <strong>Guard</strong> College (CCGC). The CCGC is an internationally renownedinstitute of marine training located in Sydney, Nova Scotia.Programs and CoursesThe CCG College offers a four-year training program in Navigation and Marine Engineering and gives you theopportunity to study in French or English at no cost!Not only are tuition and books free, but students (known as Officer-Cadets) receive a monthly allowance while at theCollege and additional money during at-sea training.The College also offers training for Marine Communications and Traffic Services (MCTS) Officers and ElectronicsTechnologists. Candidates who are successful in the MCTS selection process attend a 23 week training course. Duringthis period, they receive a training allowance. Successful completion of the training guarantees them employment withthe CCG.For Electronics Technologists, graduates of an accredited community college or institute of technology may apply tothe Marine Electronic Development Program (MELDEV) and if selected, are automatically hired as an ElectronicsTechnologist with the CCG.
