Hiscolleague in letters, David Littlejohn ’54,who has written 14 books on literature,music and architecture, and serves as aprofessor emeritus at the University ofCalifornia, Berkeley, was also honored.On the science and technologyfront, Michael Hackworth ’59 – cofounderof Cirrus Logic and one of theSilicon Valley’s most important contributorsto the semiconductor industry – washonored along with David Giuliani ’64,who invented the Sonicare toothbrush,among other accomplishments in the biotechfield.In the business world, both JohnShields ’50, the former President of TraderJoe’s, and Bart Araujo ’61, the ownerof Araujo Estate Wines, and the formerowner and CEO of A-M Homes, were
