LESSON 14SAVING TO TAPEThe Commodore 64 computer has a powerful tape operating system using file names.Our first example will not use file names.SAVING YOUR FIRST PROGRAM TO CASSETTE TAPE1. List your program to make sure it is still there.2. Put a new tape into the recorder and rewind it3. Enter SAVE4. The computer will printPRESS RECORD & PLAY ON TAPE5. Hold down the REC button and press the PLAY button. Both will click and staydown. The screen will turn blank and you will hear the recorder motor.6. In a moment you seeSAVINGREADY.80
The computer automatically turned off the tape motor. But the REC and PIAY keys staystuck down! You should click them back up by pressing the STOP key on the recorder.(Not the STOP key on the computer!)noCHECK TO SEE IF THE PROGRAM IS ON TAPE OKnnnSee if the program on tape is exactly the same as the program in the computer's memory.Do this:1.
