Its numbers are really humble. Its surface is10 thousand kilometer squares and its total population is 2 million people andthere are 7 cities. The population of its capital Pristina is 198 thousand people.When we begin thinking about its geopolitical location and its history, the gamechanges. On its Northwestern side there is Montenegro, on its North and Eastthere is Serbia, on its South there is Macedonia and on its SouthWest there isAlbania. It is a country born of the recent pains in Balkans and it is surroundedwith that pain.You would probably remember, it was almost like yesterday. On February17 th 2008 Kosovo claimed its independence with a great zeal, broadcast live,globally on all TV channels.
