Farm Practices Protection ActThe Farm Practices Protection (Right to Farm) Act (FPPA) came into effect in 1995 and gives farmers the right to farm in theALR and on land zoned for farm use.The FPPA protects farmers that are using normal farm practices from nuisance lawsuits and nuisance by-laws of localgovernments. It also establishes a process to resolve concerns and complaints in order to:Let farmers farm;Keep people out of court;Deal fairly with people's concerns and complaints; andDeal with poor farm practices.The FPPA is administered by the MOAL.
