to the provision <strong>of</strong> the music entertainment imposed on the licence by the <strong>Licensing</strong>Authority, will be suspended, except where they were imposed as being necessary forpublic safety or the prevention <strong>of</strong> crime and disorder.In addition, if a premises licence or club premises certifi cate authorises the provision<strong>of</strong> music entertainment (live music and dancing), and the premises have a capacitylimit <strong>of</strong> up to 200, during the hours <strong>of</strong> 08.00 and midnight, if the premises are beingused for the provision <strong>of</strong> unamplifi ed live music but no other regulated entertainment,then any conditions imposed on the licence by the licence authority, which relate to theprovision <strong>of</strong> that music entertainment will be suspended.These exemptions can be disapplied in relation to any condition <strong>of</strong> a premises licenceor club premises certifi cate following a review <strong>of</strong> the licence or certifi cate.Relevant representationA representation on the likely effect <strong>of</strong> the grant <strong>of</strong> an application or the operation <strong>of</strong> anexisting licence on the licensing objectives.Responsible authoritiesThese include:• the Chief Offi cer <strong>of</strong> Police• the Fire Authority• the enforcing authority for health and safety at work• the Planning Authority• the local authority responsible for minimising or preventing the risk <strong>of</strong>pollution or harm to human health• the recognised body responsible for the protection <strong>of</strong> children from harm• the Trading Standards AuthorityThe council considers Area Child Protection Committee to be competent in the area <strong>of</strong>protecting children from harm.See under “vessels” for the additional responsible authorities for vessels.92
