3.2.7 The <strong>Licensing</strong> Authority will need to be satisfi ed that premises are being run inaccordance with the <strong>Licensing</strong> Act and any licensing conditions, which may beattached to the premises licence. The frequency <strong>of</strong> inspections will need to bedetermined on risk-based criteria, with high-risk operations receiving more attentionthan premises carrying low public safety/nuisance risks.3.2.8 Premises found to be fully compliant will attract a lower risk rating and those wherebreaches are detected will attract a higher risk rating.3.2.9 The <strong>Licensing</strong> Authority will take appropriate enforcement action against thoseresponsible for unlicensed premises/activity. Action will be carried out in accordancewith the council’s Corporate Enforcement <strong>Policy</strong>.3.2.10 Any complaints received by the council about unlicensed activity or the way alicensed premises may be operating will be dealt with in accordance with the council’sCorporate Enforcement <strong>Policy</strong> and may result in an adjustment to the risk rating,prompting more frequent visits. We will work with businesses in an attempt to resolveissues that are <strong>of</strong> concern.85
