Introduction/definition2.5.26 These policies apply to a wide range <strong>of</strong> premises including:• theatres, cinemas, concert halls and other venues providing facilities forregulated entertainment (performance venues)• qualifying clubs requiring club premises certifi cates (see Glossary)• outdoor events involving licensable activities2.5.27 These policies also apply to any premises requiring a premises licence other than:• those premises defi ned as a restaurant or a late night refreshment premises(see policies RLN1 and RLN2)• those premises supplying hot food or drink for consumption <strong>of</strong>f the premises(see policies TAW1 and TAW2)• those premises primarily for the sale and consumption <strong>of</strong> alcohol on thepremises(see policies PB1and PB2)• venues where facilities are included for enabling persons to take part inentertainment (see policies MD1 and MD2)• premises selling alcohol for consumption <strong>of</strong>f the premises (see policies OS1and OS2)• outdoor areas such as parks and squares where regulated entertainment,particularly music and dancing, are provided2.5.28 The detailed Stress Area boundaries are shown on the maps at Appendix 15Theatres, cinemas, other performance venues, andqualifying clubs outside the Stress Areas <strong>Policy</strong> PVC1Applications will generally be granted and reviews determined, subject to the relevantcriteria in Policies CD1, PS1, PN1 and CH1.Theatres, cinemas, other performance venues, andqualifying clubs in the Stress Areas<strong>Policy</strong> PVC2Applications will be granted subject to other policies in this <strong>Statement</strong>, provided it isdemonstrated that they will not add to cumulative impact in the Stress Areas.61
