(v)(vi)(vii)Requirements for accompanying adults (including for example, a combination<strong>of</strong> requirements which provide that children under a particular age must beaccompanied by an adult).Limitations on <strong>of</strong> parts <strong>of</strong> premises to which children may have access.Full exclusion <strong>of</strong> people under 18 from the premises when any licensableactivities are taking place (revised Guidance, paragraphs 2.47,13.50).2.2.25 As a <strong>Licensing</strong> Authority the council will impose conditions on fi lm exhibitions in orderto protect children from inappropriate exposure to portrayals <strong>of</strong> violence or sexualactivities, strong language and sexual expletives. These will include:(i) A requirement to adhere to either the age restricted recommendations <strong>of</strong> theBritish Board <strong>of</strong> Film Classifi cation or to similar classifi cations imposed by thecouncil. Details <strong>of</strong> the certifi cations imposed by the council are available fromthe council’s <strong>Licensing</strong> Service(ii) A requirement for the cinema venue operator to submit any fi lm not classifi edby the British Board <strong>of</strong> Film Classifi cation which it intends to exhibit 28 daysbefore it is proposed to show it(iii) In line with the various classifi cations <strong>of</strong> fi lms by the British Board <strong>of</strong> FilmClassifi cation, the <strong>Licensing</strong> Authority will impose conditions necessaryto restrict access accordingly and to require any certifi cates or notices <strong>of</strong>category to be displayed appropriately.2.2.26 At premises and performances which are likely to attract a substantial number <strong>of</strong>children, the <strong>Licensing</strong> Authority may attach conditions requiring the presence <strong>of</strong> asuffi cient number <strong>of</strong> adult staff on the premises to ensure the well being <strong>of</strong> the childrenduring an emergency.35
