Measures to limit noise and vibrationApplicants will be expected to have included measures in their Operating Schedulesthat make adequate provision to:a) restrict the generation <strong>of</strong> noise within the premises and from activities associatedwith the premises in the vicinity, or from an open air siteb) limit the escape <strong>of</strong> noise from the premises or open air sitec) restrict noise emissions to below levels that could affect people in the vicinity goingabout their business, at work and when at home both while relaxing and whilesleepingd) minimise and control noise from customers arriving at the premises, or open air siteoutside it and d eparting from ite) minimise and control noise from staff, contractors and suppliers and their activitiesf) minimise and control noise from vehicles associated with and providing services tothe premises or open air site and their customersThe measures proposed in the Operating Schedule should haveregard to the objective noise criteria set out in Appendix 11.Other environmental impacts(iii) Whether Operating Schedules contain adequate measures to prevent• litter, smells, fumes, dust, tobacco or other smoke, or other emissions• street fouling• light pollutionarising from the proposed licensable activity that may cause disturbance to people inthe vicinity.(iv) Whether the proposed licensable activities will be likely to cause nuisance bycongesting the pavement or the roadway, and so impeding reasonable access(including the access required to provide essential services such as refusecollection and street cleaning).(v) If the sale <strong>of</strong> alcohol in open containers or food for consumption outside thepremises has been proposed, either within open areas which form part <strong>of</strong> thepremises such as forecourts or gardens or outside the premises, whether ornot external seating is proposed, the following considerations are relevant.27
