Cultural Strategy 8In March 2003, the council released ‘Culture in the City’ a Cultural Strategy thatacknowledges that Westminster is the creative and cultural heart of the capital. It isa major gateway for tourists visiting London and the UK. The strategy encouragesthe council and its partners to play a large part in developing and promoting culturethorough support and investment.The vision of the Statement of Licensing Policy complements the aim of the council’sCultural Strategy.
