Cultural Strategy 8In March 2003, the council released ‘Culture in the <strong>City</strong>’ a Cultural Strategy thatacknowledges that <strong>Westminster</strong> is the creative and cultural heart <strong>of</strong> the capital. It isa major gateway for tourists visiting London and the UK. The strategy encouragesthe council and its partners to play a large part in developing and promoting culturethorough support and investment.The vision <strong>of</strong> the <strong>Statement</strong> <strong>of</strong> <strong>Licensing</strong> <strong>Policy</strong> complements the aim <strong>of</strong> the council’sCultural Strategy.
