SAFETY FUNCTION CHECK… (CONTINUED)3.) Place Selector Lever in FIRE position. Pull the Trigger. THEHAMMER SHOULD FALL.NOTE: For purposes of the following check, “SLOW” is definedas one fourth to one half the normal rate of trigger release.4.) Hold Trigger to the rear, pull Charging Handle to the rear andrelease Charging Handle. Then release pressure on the Triggerwith a slow, smooth motion, without hesitations or stops,until the Trigger is fully forward.AN AUDIBLE CLICK SHOULD BE HEARD - THE HAMMERSHOULD NOT FALL.5.) Repeat the FIRE position test FIVE TIMES. The Rifle must notmalfunction during any of these five tests. If the Riflemalfunctions during any of these five tests, have the Riflechecked by a qualified gunsmith.PREPARING TO FIRE - LOADING A MAGAZINE…DO NOT LOAD DAMAGED AMMUNITION!1.) Use only quality 5.56mm or .223 Remington Ammunitionsuitable for your firearm. Examine each Cartridge -particularly around the primer. Look for dents, scratches,and other signs of damage.2.) With the Magazine facing forward as shown in theillustration, place a Round between the Feed Lips of theMagazine with the Bullet Tip forward. Push the Round downuntil it is held by the Magazine Feed Lips.3.) If necessary, give the Round a slight push backward to seatit against the inside back edge of the Magazine Feed Lips.Place next Round on top of the previous Round and repeatsteps until desired number of Rounds are loaded intoMagazine.CAUTION: Safe Firearms Handling dictates that you ONLY LOADLIVE AMMUNITION INTO YOUR RIFLE WHEN YOU ARE ABOUTTO SHOOT.PAGE 6Manufactured by Head Down Products
