REMEDIAL ACTIONS…WARNING: IF YOUR RIFLE STOPS FIRING WITH A LIVE ROUND IN THECHAMBER OF A HOT BARREL, REMOVE THE ROUND FAST. However, if youcannot remove it within 10 seconds, remove the magazine and wait 15minutes with the rifle pointing in a safe direction (always check that the“SAFE” direction remains safe during that time). This way you and thosearound you won't get hurt by the possibility of a round “cooking off”.KEEP YOUR FACE AWAY FROM THE EJECTION PORT WHILE CLEARING AHOT CHAMBER.1.) If your Rifle still fails to fire after performingImmediate Action Steps 1 through 5 onprevious Pages, check again for a jammedcartridge case.2.)
