There will be two groups ofplayers. Each group will be available to themedia at the <strong>com</strong>pletion of their training day,which consists of on-ice followed by officesessions.• For fitness testing times please contact theFlames Communications Department. Allmedicals and fitness testing will take place inthe Flames locker room and training facility. Asa result, media availability will occur in anotherdesignated area. Testing and medicals areclosed to the media.• Cameras and photographers are permitted onthe visitors’ bench only for practice sessions. Atno time will media be permitted on either benchduring scrimmage.• Please check the Flames media informationline for daily updates pertaining to the trainingschedule and Head Coach Mike Keenan’smedia availability times. The media informationline is 403-777-3666.REGULAR SEASON PRACTICE ACCESS• Standard practice time will be 11:00 a.m. Gameday skates will be at 10:00 a.m. Please notepractice times may vary. We will make everyeffort to inform you in such a situation.• The dressing room will remain closed beforeand during practice. When the dressing roomdoor is closed, access is not permitted.• Access to the dressing room will be grantedfollowing practice per <strong>NHL</strong> regulations: 5minutes following first group of players (whoparticipated in the practice) leaving the icefor no less than 30 minutes. In the event of ameeting, the dressing room will be open untilthe meeting begins and again following themeeting for at least 30 minutes.• <strong>Media</strong> access is permitted in all areas ofthe dressing room except for the medicaltreatment room, coach’s office, change roomsand shower/lavatory. To the extent all playersare available in the main dressing room; thereshould be no need for media to enter otherareas of the dressing room <strong>com</strong>plex.• <strong>Media</strong> access to the home players’ bench is notpermitted during practice.• Mike Keenan will be available within 20 minutesfollowing practice in a media conference formatin a designated area near the dressing room.Individual interview (one-on-one) requests willonly be granted in special circumstances andon advance notice.GAME DAY AND POST GAME• On request, players will be available to themedia for interviews for a 30 minute period upto 90 minutes prior to game time. Preferably,media interviews should be conducted followingthe morning practice.• Requests for players/coaches for broadcastpre-tape interviews must be made to the<strong>com</strong>munications department before 11:00 a.m.on game day. In the case of “quick hits”, pleaseprovide with at least two minutes remaining inthe period with a back-up option.• Dressing room will open to media 5 minutesafter the game with same areas as stated aboveavailable for interviews.• Mike Keenan will be available (in a mediaconference format) within 20 minutes of theconclusion of the game. The post game mediaconference will take place in the media lounge.The dressing room will remain open during thecoach’s press conference.• Please request credentials 24 hours in advanceof the game in which you have been assignedto cover. In the case of full-time credentialmedia, please inform us, when possible, if youare not attending a particular game.PHOTOGRAPHY/TELEVISION CAMERAS• Please follow credential guidelines outlinedabove. Free-lance photographers will only begranted credentials when on assignment froma media outlet.• Photographers/Cameras are permitted to shootFlames practice from the visiting team bench orstands only.• Television rightsholders may place one handheldcamera on the bench during warm-up oncethe players have taken the ice (local – homebench only).• Photographers will be guaranteed one locationfor the first period. Other period shootinglocations will be coordinated during the game.Please respect sight lines of spectators atall times.• Any live news shots utilizing the playing surfaceas a backdrop must conclude 30 minutesbefore television broadcast begins.• As per <strong>NHL</strong> policy, non-rightsholders arenot permitted to record highlights duringgames.
