Just before training campFlames players, prospects, coaches and alumnigather for a last game of golf before the seasonwith over 350 players.Danone SuperskillsAll Flames players, coaches and Calgary minorhockey players take to the ice to <strong>com</strong>pete inthis fun-filled event for skill titles. Last seasonfastest skater Matthew Lombardi, hardest shotwinner Adrian Aucoin, and shooting accuracywinner Alex Tanguay were applauded by apacked house at the Pengrowth Saddledome.The event raised over $60,000 for the FlamesFoundation for Life and <strong>NHL</strong>PA’s Goals andDreams Fund.staff along with Flames alumni and localcelebrities, plus over 300 participants lastseason to lay all the cards on the table forthe Flames Foundation for Life. Last year’stournament raised over $400,000. This year willmark the fourth annual event.Reading …Give It A Shot!This will mark the 13th season Flames playershave been visiting Grade 4, 5 and 6 students aspart of the Reading …Give It A Shot! program.Last season’s program included 43 schoolsand over 1,225 students. With the results ofthe program improving each year, a reported96 per cent of these students have improvedmotivation to read. This reading incentiveprogram encourages students to read by<strong>com</strong>bining player visits with a bookmark rewardsystem.
