CALGARY FLAMES OWNERSAllan P.MARKINAllan P. Markin, a native of Calgary, is the Chairman of CanadianNatural Resources Limited, a natural gas crude oil exploration,development and production company. Allan has strongly supported Canadian Natural’s corporatecommitment to a wellness system for employees. In 1993 he received a Pinnacle Award of BusinessExcellence in Alberta and Oilweek Producer of the Year Award andhe has been distinguished for several years by the Wall Street JournalGold Awards for outstanding Achievement – Canadian Oil Producers.In June of 1998 Mr. Markin was the recipient of an honorary degree ofDoctorate of Laws, from the University of Calgary. In June of 2002, he was bestowed the honorarydegree of Doctor of Laws from the University of Alberta.The Mayor of the City of Calgary bestowed him with the Citizen of the Year award for 2004. In Juneof 2006, Mr. Markin was presented the honorary degree of Doctor of Laws from the University ofLethbridge. St. Mary’s University College bestowed him with the Honorary Fellowship of St. Mary’s in2004. Allan is the Founder of St. Mary’s University College. His philanthropy and personal involvementin the broader community are extensive, extending not only in North America, but also internationallyin the U.K. and West Africa. Although diversified, his main philanthropic objective is to enhanceeducation and health, through balance.Jeffrey J.McCAIGJeffrey James McCaig is Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of theTrimac Transportation group of companies. Mr. McCaig has been withTrimac since August 1983. He became President in May 1990 andChief Executive Officer in July 1994. Prior to joining Trimac in 1983, Mr.McCaig practiced law in Calgary, from 1976 to 1983.In addition to being chairman of the board of Trimac and itsrelated companies, he also is a director of Potash Corporation ofSaskatchewan and Standard Life Assurance Company of Canada.He has a Master of Science in Management degree from theSloan Program, Stanford University, Stanford, California (1984),and a law degree from Osgoode Hall Law School in Toronto (1976).He graduated Cum Laude in Economics from Harvard College inCambridge, Massachusetts (1974).Mr. McCaig was born in Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan on July 5, 1951.He is married and has three children.Clayton H.RIDDELLClayton H. Riddell was introduced as a new member of the CalgaryFlames ownership group on August 29, 2003. His participation,combined with the ongoing commitment of the existing owners of theteam and the community, provides strength, continuity and stability tothe organization.Mr. Riddell graduated from the University of Manitoba with a Bachelorof Science, Honors degree in Geology. In May 2004, he received anHonorary Doctor of Science degree from the University of Manitoba.Mr. Riddell has been the Chairman of the Board and Chief ExecutiveOfficer of Paramount Resources Ltd., a publicly traded oil and gascompany since 1978. He is Chief Executive Officer of MGM EnergyCorp. and is Chairman of the Board of Paramount Energy Trust, TrilogyEnergy Trust and Newalta Income Trust.Mr. Riddell is past president of the Canadian Society of PetroleumGeologists and past Chair of the Canadian Association of PetroleumProducers.
