The advantages mentioned here, make the screening principle suitablefor screening even the most difficult materials and for separation of all kind of extraordinarymaterials in various applications.Examples of developmentsFor sticky applications, stars with cleaning fingers keep the screen constantly open. A StarScreen660 allows coarse screening of various materials without blocking and mixing. An Angled sorterseparates spherical or cubic materials from light flat materials (paper). The StarScreen has alsobeen developed for separation of cardboard from paper. These are a few examples of uncommonsolutions achieved through the use of the StarScreen principle. Four different screen dimensionshave been developed, so that a screening deck can be designed and a screen dimension chosenfor virtually all materials. The variety of star dimensions provides a solution for very manyscreening problems. This prevents deviations in thescreening dimension and removes the needfor stoppages for cleaning.• Thanks to the variable rotating speed, variousscreening dimensions can be achieved usingone star dimension. No need to adjust thescreening deck between runs, therefore.• StarScreens do not shake or vibrate, so thata lightweight sub-frame suffices.
