Perhaps this ignorance comes from the unwillingness to connectKaradžić and the Serbs with crimes committed in Bosnia.Specifically, we also tried to find out how Karadžić is referred to in thenews items. Naming and labelling of a politician is not only a descriptiveusage of linguistic resources, but can be indicative of the social processesand practices embedded in the communicative situation regarding, for instance,the social and political position of this leader within society. The namesused by the TS to refer to Karadžić are a case in point. For the analysiswe counted all the words (n= 178) referring to Karadžić. Because there wasa diversity of words, they are arranged into sub-sections, grouped in termsof semantic fields and presented according to their numerical presence.Table III.
