Mirror of the Eternal NightLEVELS OF KOSKATEPEven if from the outside the “mountain ofbones” doesn’t seem a very big place, thetruth is that Koskatep is not a simple dungeonand not even a simple city. It’s several citiesbuilt one upon another, with 13 main levels.For this reason it’s almost impossible toinclude a full map of the place, but thelocation may be detailed in the next issues ofThreshold magazine.Note that at the centre of Koskatep from theseventh level there is an open, windy, anddark chasm that goes all the way down to thetwelfth level, a result of the two earthquakesprovoked by the churches of Ixion and Nyxduring Blackmoorian and Taymoran times.Note also that all the levels are broken,interrupted, and rugged in many places, sothat full exploration of the ruins should bevery difficult.The PCs could even be themselves agents ofthe Sons of Night sent to explore the placeor agents of a rival organization (probablythe Church of Ixion) sent to stop theDarkers. The ruins are apparently lessinhabited before the Darkers take them, butthey aren’t less dangerous, as a great evillurks in the deep levels, giving even theupper levels an inexplicable disquietingmood.When the Sons of Night have taken controlof the place the location is well organizedand guarded, and that means that PCsshould explore the place with stealth and/ordiplomacy, or be quickly destroyed.
