T Meter Screen.OptiMelt can be used to measure temperatures around the lab while not being used formelting point determinations.A back panel connector allows connection of an external 100 Ω, α = 0.00385 Ω/Ω/°C, PtRTD thermometer with 2, 3 or 4 wire connector configurations.All external temperatures are displayed in degrees Celsius on the front panel of theinstrument using big numbers which can be easily read across the room.An Alarm facility can be programmed to constantly check for high and low temperatureconditions in your laboratory providing real-time audio feedback whenever userselectable limits are exceeded.Long term temperature logging is available with both tabular and graphical display of thestored data and user selectable logging interval.OptiMelt detects the presence of an external Pt RTD probe when the T meter screen isdisplayed. “RTD DISCONNECTED” is displayed instead of the temperature if a probe isnot present or is not properly connected.AlarmTouch this button to choose between alarm enabled or disabled.Enabled means that the temperature readings are constantly compared against the Alarmlow and Alarm high limits, and a beep is heard every time the temperature falls out oftheir range.Disabled means that no alarms are available.OptiMelt Automated Melting Point System
