Chapter 1 Getting Started 17MeltView SoftwareThe sample images captured by the internal camera, and used by the Digital ImageProcessor, are also available for real-time transfer to a PC over the USB interfaceFigure 13. MeltView software. The MeltView software, provided on a CD and also available as a free download fromhttp://www.thinksrs.com/downloads/soft.htm, handles all image transfers, allowingOptiMelt users to display (and store) real-time digital images of the samples on acomputer screen during analysis. All sample images transferred to the PC, are bundledtogether as a single package (melt movie) and stored on the computer’s hard disk whenthe analysis is completed. This capability provides the most powerful and definitivedocumentation infrastructure available from any commercial melting point apparatus.Stored melt movies may be recalled at any time and melts can be played back, frame-byframeor as continuous movie, by simple moving a cursor back and forth with yourmouse. Melt Graphs are available for all saved determinations providing the mostaccurate path to fine tune camera thresholds for automated determinations.TipBeing able to replay a test after the fact is an invaluable tool for GLP documentation, forfine tuning of results and for laboratory demonstrations in educational settings.MeltView Installation Steps:1.
