December, her <strong>des</strong>tination was announced to<br />

be Chittagong but the High Court of<br />

Bangla<strong>des</strong>h ask the authorities to stop issueing<br />

NOCs (No Objection Certificates) allowing the<br />

beaching of ships. The Sabine, shorten to<br />

« Sabi » changes course ; she was finally<br />

beached for demolition in Alang, India. 487 $<br />

from transporting heavy fuel in European waters since January 2005. Sold for demolition in Pakistan.<br />

11,962 t. Mexican flag. Classification society Lloyd's Register of <strong>Ship</strong>ping. Built in<br />

1976 in Horten (Norway) by AS Horten. Single-hull tanker banned from transporting<br />

heavy fuel in European waters since January 2005. Owned by PEMEX (Mexico). Sold for demolition in<br />

India. 220 $ per ton. Along with the Tolteca and Independencia also to be demolished, PEMEX is<br />

<strong>des</strong>tocking its old hulls.<br />

Shujaa 5 (ex-Cap Farina II, ex-Crescent Highway, ex-Petro Avon, ex-Esso Avon). IMO<br />

8019306. Tanker. Length 91 m, 1,746 t. Panamanian flag. Unknown classification<br />

society. Built in 1981 in Groningen (The Netherlands) by Nieuw Noord Nederlandsche.<br />

Sold for demolition in Pakistan.<br />

Southway (ex-Genmar Prometheus, ex-Cru<strong>des</strong>un, ex-Bona Liv, ex-Golar liv). IMO 8613841. Tanker.<br />

Length 267 m, 21,189 t. Singapore flag. Classification society Lloyd's Register of <strong>Ship</strong>ping. Double-hull<br />

ship built in 1988 in Okpo (South Korea) by Daewoo <strong>Ship</strong>building. Owned by Green Ocean <strong>Ship</strong><br />

Management (India). Sold for demolition in Bangla<strong>des</strong>h. 465 $ per ton.<br />

Splendour (ex-Green Valley). IMO 8607775. Tanker. Length 214 m, 11,641 t. Liberian flag. Classification<br />

society Bureau Veritas. Double sided ship built in 1987 in Imari (Japan) by Namura. Owned by FAL<br />

<strong>Ship</strong>ping Co Ltd (United Arab Emirates). Sold for demolition in Pakistan. 455 $ per ton.<br />

Subedar Joginder Singh PVC. IMO 8224171. Tanker. Length 228 m, 13,369 t. Indian flag. Classification<br />

society Indian Register of <strong>Ship</strong>ping. Single-hull ship built in 1984 in Ulsan (South Korea) by Hyundai.<br />

Owned by The <strong>Ship</strong>ping Corporation of India Ltd - SCI (India). Sold for demolition in India where she is<br />

beached as KCTL 29. 469 $ per ton.<br />

Swat (ex-Velimir Skorpik, ex-Ocean Captai). IMO 7917408. Tanker. Length 243 m,<br />

15,463 t. Pakistanese flag. Classification society Bureau Veritas. Single-hull ship built<br />

in 1985 in El Ferrol (Spain) by Astano. Owned by Pakistan National <strong>Ship</strong>ping<br />

(Pakistan). Detained in 2000 and 2002 in Trieste (Italy). Sold for demolition in Pakistan. 468 $ per ton.<br />
