<strong>systems</strong><strong>Corby</strong> <strong>East</strong> <strong>Midlands</strong> <strong>International</strong> <strong>Pool</strong>The 50m <strong>Corby</strong> <strong>East</strong> <strong>Midlands</strong> <strong>International</strong> <strong>Pool</strong> was unveiled by Olympic swimmer Mark Foster and is equipped with moveablefloors and booms to accommodate international junior diving events as well as short and long course races. Designed by S&PArchitects, the facility also includes a 20m, four-lane training pool, fun pool, 70-station fitness suite and an aerobic studio.One of the highlights of this project was how careful the local council andswimming club were in making sure they invested in the best and mostcutting edge timing equipment. To ensure they made the right decision thefacility and swimming club took the time to test and analyse each of theavailable <strong>systems</strong> on the market, and after a number of weeks we werehappy to hear that they had chosen <strong>HS</strong> <strong>Sports</strong> / Colorado Time Systems.There were a number of different scoreboard display options for the clientto choose from and the council initially opted for a single colour full matrixdisplay. Later however they decided for the small additional cost theywould upgrade to a 23mm, 2.2m x 4.8m full colour video screen. This gavethe Council much more flexibility as they could now not only show liveresults from the Colorado Timing System but also live video, images andinternal / local advertising, which allowed the centre to generate revenue.
