It represents the northern coast of the state.It is home to the largest timber-produc<strong>in</strong>g county <strong>in</strong> the state (Humboldt)and two w<strong>in</strong>e grape-grow<strong>in</strong>g counties (Mendoc<strong>in</strong>o and Lake). In addition, theNorth Coast is home to sandy beaches and several estuaries that support richbiodiversity.
