Forexample, a red exclamation point next to the Firebox entryindicates that a Firebox is not communicating with eitherthe WatchGuard Security Event Processor (WSEP) or managementstation. A red exclamation point next to a tunnellisting indicates a tunnel is down.When you expand an entry that has a red exclamationpoint, another exclamation point appears next to the specificdevice or tunnel with the problem. Monitoring Firebox TrafficSetting the maximum number of log entriesYou can change the maximum number of log entries thatare stored and viewable on the Traffic Monitor tab. Afterthe maximum is reached, the earliest logs are removed asmore come in. A high value in this field places a largedemand on your system if you have a slow processor or alimited amount of RAM. In this situation, LogViewer is amuch more appropriate tool for tracking logs than the trafficmonitor in System Manager.1 Click the Main Menu button. Click Settings.2 Type or use the scroll control to change the Max LogEntries field. Click OK.The value entered represents the number of logs in thousands. Ifyou enter zero (0) in this field, the maximum number of logs(3,000) is permitted.Displaying entries in colorYou can specify that the log entries appear in different colorsaccording to the type of information they show:1 Click the Main Menu button. Click Settings. Click theSyslog Color tab.2 To enable displaying entries in color, select thecheckbox marked Display Logs in Color. You can alsoenable and disable color by right-clicking any entry inthe traffic monitor and selecting Colorize.3 On the Allow, Deny, or Message tab, click the field youwant to colorize.The Text Color field to the right of the tabs shows the currentcolor defined for the field.4 To change the color, click the arrow next to Text Color.Click one of the 20 colors on the palette.The information contained in this field will appear in the newcolor on Traffic Monitor. A sample of how the Traffic Monitorwill look appears on the bottom of the dialog box.5 You can also choose a background color for the trafficmonitor.
