KOC & General Fire Service DirectorateHold Fire Awareness CampaignCampaign Focuses on Preventing, Fighting FireKOC employees and firefighters both took part in the awareness campaignThe Export Operations Group, in cooperation with theGeneral Fire Service Directorate, recently organized anawareness campaign called “Nabiha Tosal” (We Want It ToReach Everywhere). The campaign was launched at severalmalls inside <strong>Kuwait</strong> with the aim of getting citizens andexpatriates acquainted with fire hazards and the ways inwhich to prevent and fight them.Group Manager Fadhel Boresle said that KOC was the firstto uandertake the responsibility of spreading awarenessamongst different segments of society about the dangers offires and the ways and means to prevent them and protectlives by efficiently organizing exhibitions, conductingpresentations, issuing publications, holding contests andawarding prizes to participants from the public and privatesectors.Manager Boresle hailed the role of firefighters in servingtheir homeland and society, as well as their sacrificesto maintain security and safety for all, especially duringemergency cases which require bravery and teamwork inthe face of danger.The then PR & Information Manager of the GeneralFire Service Directorate, Lt. Colonel Nasser Al-Ansari,underscored that the Directorate cooperates with KOC infirefighting and rescue operations and that the campaignwas another method adopted by KOC in order to serve thesociety through spreading awareness.Al-Ansari expressed gratitude and appreciation to all thosewho took part in the campaign and the exhibition, sayingthat a number of firefighting teams participated in thoseactivities, including the Farwaniyah Firefighting Squad,the Technical Rescue, the Marine Rescue, the DangerousSubstances and the Prevention Sectors.Those who took part in the Campaign for the General FireService Directorate included the Deputy General Managerfor Prevention & HR Development Brigadier General YousefAl-Ansari, the Deputy GM for Financial & AdministrativeAffairs Brigadier General Khaled Al-Tarkeet, the ActingDirector of the PR & Information Department Lt. ColonelNasser Al-Ansari, and the Acting Awareness & PR SectionCaptain Yousef Al-Blooshi.KOC was represented by EOG Manager Fadhel Boresle,HSE TL Mohammad Al-Basry, HR Officer Saad Al-Hajri,Occupational Health Specialist Abdul Raheem Al-Kandariand Snr. Safety Engineer Ahmad Al-Fodari.
