Wed., Nov. 14<strong>Marauder</strong> Volleyball w<strong>in</strong>s 11th straight with 3-1 over Chaffey and second straightFoothill Conference title <strong>in</strong> Jane Cwayna's last regular season match.<strong>Marauder</strong> Soccer’s Morgan Jones and Megan Ferrell were named first team All-FoothillConference. For Jones, it is a step up from last season when shewas second team. Those named to the second team was ShawnaSaitta for the second straight season and Delaney Enriquez.Honorable Mention was Jocelyn Padron, the <strong>Marauder</strong>s' lead<strong>in</strong>gscorer Daisy Vite and Rosana Reyes.Jones<strong>Marauder</strong> Football placed five players on the first team All-American Pacific team,<strong>in</strong>clud<strong>in</strong>g offensive l<strong>in</strong>emen Joe Grant (unanimous) and DuaneAbney II, defensive l<strong>in</strong>eman Edw<strong>in</strong> Delva (unanimous),l<strong>in</strong>ebacker and AVC's top tackler Kris O'Neal (unanimous) anddefensive back and AVC's top <strong>in</strong>terceptor Mike Smith. Namedsecond team was runn<strong>in</strong>g back Frank Brown and quarterbackGrantDerrick Dison - AVC's second lead<strong>in</strong>g career passerand pass<strong>in</strong>g TD record holder. On defense it wasdefensive l<strong>in</strong>eman Jose Arias, l<strong>in</strong>ebacker Ben Watts,cornerback Deon Hawk<strong>in</strong>s and safety Corey Witt.FerrellDelvaFri., Nov. 16Sat., Nov. 17O'Neal<strong>Marauder</strong> Women's Basketball loses opener <strong>in</strong>Glendale Tournament 71-62 aga<strong>in</strong>st West LA. Mikeisha Moore scored 14 po<strong>in</strong>ts,followed by Yvette Bennett and Kambria Berry with 11. Whitney Wash<strong>in</strong>gton swatted sixblocked shots.In their last Foothill Conference season, <strong>Marauder</strong> Volleyball aga<strong>in</strong> pulled down thelion’s share of All-Conference selections. Kristal Campos who led <strong>in</strong> kills and po<strong>in</strong>ts,was named was named the fifth <strong>Marauder</strong> Foothill ConferencePlayer of the <strong>Year</strong> and like the team, it was the third selection<strong>in</strong> the four three years. The three of the others were AshleyMarroqu<strong>in</strong> <strong>in</strong> 2009, Jennie Nua <strong>in</strong> 2005 and Aimee Sayles thesetter from the undefeated <strong>in</strong> the regular season 1993 team.Campos became just the third <strong>Marauder</strong> to be named to the AllsouthernCalifornia Regional team.The fourth and last year’s Player of the <strong>Year</strong>, Allyson Lods wasnamed first team All-Foothill Conference along with CheriseAust<strong>in</strong> who led AVC <strong>in</strong> stuff blocks and Victoria Munz who wereboth named second teamlast season.Named second team wasthe <strong>Marauder</strong>s’ two setterDanielle Tracy and TarynnSchultze.Jane Cwayna, <strong>in</strong> her32nd and f<strong>in</strong>al season as<strong>Marauder</strong> head coach, wasAbneyCamposAust<strong>in</strong>named Foothill Conference Coach of the <strong>Year</strong> for the fifth time and second season <strong>in</strong> arow.SmithLodsMunz
