PROCEDURES FOR SPECIAL ADMISSION TOST. CHARLES COMMUNITY COLLEGEThis procedure should be used by students who do not meet the entrance requirementslisted in the catalog and are under the age of 16. This process must be completed eachsemester of enrollment.1. Apply for admission to SCC online at www.stchas.edu/apply and submit a schooltranscript to the Office of Enrollment Services, St. Charles Community College, 4601Mid Rivers Mall Drive, Cottleville, MO 63376-0975.2. Take the Academic Skills Assessment in Room 133 SC (Tel. # 636-922-8629) orsubmit your ACT scores prior to meeting with the Associate Dean of EnrollmentServices.3. Complete and submit to the Associate Dean of Enrollment Services – StudentCenter – Room 133, the following materials:a. The attached Special Admissions form including the signatures of thestudent, parent, and school principal/counselor.b. A letter from the school principal/counselor (or parent if student is homeschooled) explaining why the student should be served by SCC andrecommending areas of study.4. Make an appointment for an interview with the Associate Dean of EnrollmentServices in the Student Center, Room 133, (Tel. # 636-922-8629). The AssociateDean of Enrollment Services will determine the admission status of the applicant andwill inform the student.5. The Associate Dean of Enrollment Services, in consultation with the faculty, willdetermine if the course(s) and content are appropriate and will request permissionfor enrollment of underage students into individual classes.6. The Associate Dean of Enrollment Services will assist the student with completingthe registration process.Please be advised that the special admission process may require several visitsto the College and several weeks to finalize. Please begin the process as early aspossible.
