A huge thanks to all our members that chipped in to help with track preparation and Max Parnell for his efforts in the scrutineers bay .Saturday we were greeted with overcast threatening skies which luckily held off until later in the afternoon for us to have a dry track for most of the day . Ian Marshall was the standout setting a blistering pace with his datto 16000 running exceptionally well. Max and Steve had a ding dong battle for times before Max pulled out a blinder in his last run for the event and knocked a full second off his previous run times .We had a real father and son event with both Rob Van W and Neil Cope having their sons co driving with them for the weekend with a real spirited competition between them . Bruce Anderson ran the Renault open wheeler at Gatton for the first time and is getting faster and faster at each event which was no mean feat when you consider how much concrete was about. Darryl Shaw once again had a huge smile on his face as the big Jag went really well and is a really reliable well presented race car, Dags you should be proud of it! Despite the rain we all had a fantastic time and look forward to our next events at McLean’s Bridge and Oakey Street Sprints. Len Falknau
