Names of Things and What They DoSet the [SETTING] switch to “GUITAR” or “MIC” unlessyou’ve connected a condenser microphone thatrequires phantom power.Supplying phantom power to a dynamic microphonewill cause malfunction. For details on the specificationsof the microphone you’re using, refer to the owner’smanual for your microphone.910LINE IN jackYou can connect a portable audio player or similar devicehere (p. 58).LINE OUT jacksThese jacks output the audio signal of the amp and mixerin stereo (p. 56).78Before you change the position of the [SETTING] switch,set the volume to “0” using the [VOLUME] dial on theside panel. If you change the position of the [SETTING]switch while the volume is raised, loud noise may beemitted, possibly damaging your amp and speakers.[SENS] knobThis knob adjusts the input level of the device that’sconnected to the MIC IN jack or MIC/GUITAR IN jack.When recording, use this knob to adjust the recordinglevel (p. 56).* Setting [SENS] to the minimum position will not silence theinput completely. If you want to silence the microphone inputcompletely, set the Mic Input SW to the OFF setting (p. 59).MIC IN jackYou can connect a microphone here (p. 55).This is an analog audio input jack with a microphone preamp.It can accept either balanced or unbalanced connections.* The MIC/GUITAR IN jack and MIC IN jack cannot be usedsimultaneously.* The MIC IN jack can provide 48 V phantom power, allowinga phantom-powered condenser microphone to beconnected.Set the [SETTING] switch to the “MIC (DC 48 V 10 mA)” if aphantom-powered condenser microphone is connected tothe MIC IN jack.922* This instrument is equipped with balanced (XLR) typejacks. This is due to aninfinitesimal electrical charge, which is absolutelyharmless. However, if you are concerned about this,connect the ground terminal with an external ground.When the unit is grounded, a slight hum may occur,depending on the particulars of your installation.
