signed up to play trombone, she is also involved
in softball, dance, theater, downhill skiing
and golf. Erin is the soccer kid, currently in
a fall competitive league ending in October just
in time to start indoor winter league along with
dance, downhill skiing and golf.
With my career I spend a fair amount of time
traveling, Kim does a great job running the
household, but we greatly enjoy traveling together
as a family. This past winter we enjoyed
our first family road trip out west to Utah (skiing)
and Las Vegas. Kids traveled well, DVD’s
and CD’s helped pass the time. We are reving
up for March 2006 trip to the Big Island of
Hawaii for 10 days.
My interests have changed and evolved over
the years, my passion has become GOLF.
We play a lot as a family, but I manage to get
some rounds in with the guys. I have been going
down to Texas for about 10 years on a fall
golf trip, next one is in October! We live in a
great neighborhood and really enjoy our neighbors.
We have numerous neighborhood groups
and activities to keep us entertained throughout
the year.

Todd Schwanke

Todd and his wife, Mary, have two kids: Eric,
17, and Samantha, 13.
He writes: I’m employed by the Steele County
Sheriff’s Office as a Patrol Sergeant. I’ve
spent 11 years in Law Enforcement and still
enjoy going to work. Over that time I’ve had
additional duties as a Field Training Officer
and Patrol Rifle Firearms Instructor. I also am
a Squad Leader on our regional SWAT team,
where I’m lucky enough to work with a great
group of Deputies and Officers from the surrounding
area.
I retired from the Army Reserve last fall, as a
Sergeant First Class, after completing 20+
