There are four types of NON-IMMIGRANT VISAS. The nonmachinereadable visa is printed with a multicolored ribbon whilethe machine readable visas are stickers which are applied to thepassport page. Visas are used for entry purposes and must be validon the date of entry into the U.S. It is not necessary for the visa to bevalid after entry.17
