• For the FY2010, the Government Finance Officers Association of the United States and Canadaawarded a Distinguished Budget Presentation Award for the fifth year to Metro for its operatingand capital budget. The award recognizes the high standards of preparation of state and localgovernmental budgets. In addition, the GFOA also recognized Metro with an award for SpecialPerformance Measures in regards to the budget document.Metro thanks each of the governing bodies providing the support and resources necessary to preparethis report, including the States of Missouri and Illinois, the City of St. Louis, St. Louis County, and theTransit District of St. Clair County.
