BBU ACCREDITED SALE AGREEMENTBEEFMASTER BREEDERS UNITEDACCREDITED SALE AGREEMENT(For Consignors, Sale Managers and Consultants)In consideration of the permission granted by BeefmasterBreeders United (BBU) for the undersigned to participate in aBBU Accredited Sale and the mutual agreements set forth below,I hereby agree to the following rules:1. All cattle to be sold shall be represented by the seller asproperly identified with permanent identification number. Allidentification numbers, branded or tattooed on an animal, andthe description must match identically the identification numbers,holding brands and description listed on the Certificate ofBreeding.2. Prior to the sale, a BBU official will validate and verify that allpaperwork pertinent to the BBU Accredited sale is correct andready for transfer.3. All cattle sold, other than First and Second Cross calves underfourteen (14) months of age and the embryo recipients, musthave BBU Certificates of Breeding. All First and Second Crosscalves under fourteen (14) months of age must be accompaniedby a properly completed and executed Application for Certificateof Breeding. The sale management or seller must present allCertificates of Breeding (or applications when applicable) to theBBU office ten (10) business days prior to sale date. Substituteanimals will be accepted provided the Certificates of Breeding (orapplications) are in compliance with all applicable requirementsupon arrival at the sale site.4. All semen and frozen embryos sold at a BBU AccreditedSale must have a BBU AI Certificate form/Embryo Bill of Saleprovided at the time of the sale. The BBU AI Certificate form/Embryo Bill of Sale shall include, if applicable, the Blood TypingCase # and DNA Genotype Case # of the bull whose semenis sold, or the sire and dam of the embryos being sold. All A’ISires and Donor Dams must have a DNA Profile on file (or BloodTyping, if applicable) at BBU prior to the accredited sale date.BBU Accredited sale catalogs must include the blood type casenumber and DNA genotype case number of all animals sellingthat have been typed; and include the blood type case numberand DNA genotype case number of the sire and dam (if typed) ofall animals selling. The PV designation for “Parent Verified” mustalso be included in the BBU Accredited Sale catalog on eachanimal to which it is applicable.5. BBU Certificate of Breeding number of the service sire (ifmultiple sire so state in the catalog) of a bred female must beindicated in the sale catalog.6. If an animal is classified, such classification must be reflected inthe catalog, as provided for below or on the pen card if applicableor announced from the box. All existing available official BBUperformance information will be included in the following block,(only that portion of the block must be printed where official BBUinformation exists) for the display of official BBU classification andperformance information. The sample block below may be usedor other formats may be used but the information must be officialBBU data as listed on the registration certificate.7. All guarantees and remedies are between buyer and seller.BBU assumes no responsibility.In making this agreement, I agree to indemnify and hold harmlessBBU, it officers, directors, employees, agents, and authorizedrepresentatives from any liabilities which may arise in connectionwith a BBU Accredited Sale. I acknowledge that have read andunderstood all of the terms of this Agreement.FAILURE BY A MEMBER TO COMPLY WITH THISSIGNED AGREEMENT WILL BE AUTOMATIC CAUSE FORAPPEARING BEFORE THE BBU ETHICS AND RULESCOMMITTEE TO SHOW CAUSE WHY HE/SHE SHOULD BEPERMITTED TO RETAIN HIS/HER MEMBERSHIP IN BBU.By signing this agreement, I agree to abide and be bound bythis Accredited Sale Agreement as same may be from timeto time amended or revised by BBU and published on BBU’sofficial website (www.beefmasters.org) with respect to anyBBU Accredited Sale. My agreement to be so bound shallremain effective until BBU’s receipt of a written revocation byme. No obligations that arise prior to such revocation will bechanged by such revocation.
