Somerset Apprentice AwardsThe first Grow Somerset Talent: SomersetApprentice Awards ceremony was held atThe Holiday Inn Taunton this month with160 nominees competing for ten prestigiousawards reflecting their commitment toquality apprenticeships.The event was hosted by Graham Knight from StrodeCollege who led the training provider group .Prestigious business awards went to Somersetbusinesses; H & H Accountants, Tradestock, Lloyd andWhite, Quest Global Engineering and The Monkton Inn.An additional five awards were awarded to individualapprentices for their personal performances, the mainApprentice Champion of the Year award was presentedto Hannah Parker, a customer service apprentice at theRadiology department at Musgrove Park Hospital.Hannah also won the Intermediate Apprentice award.Jack Fleming from the National Apprentice Service said“I was delighted to see such a successful evening andreal competition for prizes. The winners will now go on tocompete in the Regional Awards later in the year, andwe expect and hope to stage this county wide eventagain next year.
