addition, all independent generators of power are required to sign an Interconnection<br />
Agreement with LlPA which highlights the responsibilities of each party. Copies of this<br />
agreement and LIPA’s interconnection requirements can be found on LIPA’s website<br />

10.5 SOLAR PHOTOVOLTAIC SYSTEMS<br />
10.4.1 All installations of customer Solar PhotoVoltaic Systems must be installed in compliance<br />
with National Electric Code Article 690 and will require an electrical inspection certificate<br />
ensuring the installation meets the requirements of these codes.<br />

10.6 CARRIER CURRENT SYSTEMS<br />
If a customer uses his building wiring for a current carrier system for communication or signaling<br />
purposes, the customer shall install suitable filter equipment or make other provisions approved by<br />
LIPA to keep LIPA’s distribution facilities free from carrier currents produced by his equipment.<br />
10.7 ELECTRIC VEHICLE CHARGING SYSTEMS<br />
10.7.1 Electric Vehicle Charging Systems is covered by Article 625 of the National Electric Code.<br />
10.7.2 Please contact LIPA at 1-800-490-0025 to ensure that your electric account has been<br />
assigned the appropriate service classification.
