The BL27 is typicallyutilized for lighter traffic volumes with wide lane requirements.It is designed to stand up to the harshest weatherenvironments and operating conditions.The BL27 is a real value. It offers cost effective control ofvehicle access and wide lane management. The BL27 isextremely dependable and reliable, at the same timeproviding advanced safety features for both vehicles andpedestrians.SAFETY1. Completed Cycle Locking: Barrier arm mechanicallylocked in the fully completed 90º vertical up position, andin the completed horizontal down position.2. STD Clutch: Dual Friction Disk: Torque limiter, whichprotects the electromechanical drive system, as well asboth vehicles and pedestrians.3. Barrier arm swing-off device. - Barrier arm safetypressure switch. - Barrier arm safety sensor system.(See options).4. Power Failure: System will shut off and the clutch willmaintain the barrier arm in its current position.1. Cabinet housing made of 12 gauge (2 mm) thick,folded and welded steel sheet.2. Key-locked safety access door disconnects power tothe unit when the door is opened. Access door on thefront (road) or rear side available.3. Upper cover is 12 gauge (2mm) thick, folded andwelded steel sheet, security locked.4. Electromechanical unit includes: 1/3 HP, heavy-duty, 115V AC single-phaseinstant-reversing motor, with life-lubricated speedreduction gearbox, with worm screw typemechanism. Crankshaft/rod device with rubber abutmentsensuring smooth, flexible movements, andprogressive decelerations at the end of themovements. Barrier arm “45º balanced” achieved by means ofan integrated adjustable extension spring, ormultiple springs depending on barrier arm lengthand weight. Safety torque limiter with adjustable friction disks.Limit switches activated by adjustable cams.Barrier drive axis mounted on double pillowblocks with welded arm support. The outgoingshaft, centred on the housing, makes it easy toreverse from left to the right and vice versa.5. Controller logic: push buttons, or automatic closing ofthe barrier, via loop detector, and or other actuationdevice. (See options).6. Barrier arms: Two-piece round extruded aluminium 12gauge (2mm) thick. Aluminium tubes diameter:90/84mm, 3 1/2” and 3 1/4” interlocked.7. The entire course of treatment is asfollows:1. Removal of grease from the metal parts,2. Rinsing in water to eliminate all alkaline residue,3. Zinc phosphatization: thickness 5 µm,4. Passivation, ensuring an increase in the corrosiveresistance of the coat of phosphate obtained,5. Elimination of residual salts (ions), through rinsing with demineralizedwater,6. Final treatment by cataphoresis, thickness: maximum of 22µm.
