Security ProfilesSetting the Log LevelTo set the Log Level for a Security Profile:1 From the Hubs View, navigate to the profile you want to edit.2 Right-click the profile and select Configure from the context menu. The Edit DefaultProperties dialog appears.3 Select the desired Logging Level from the Log Level drop-down list.4 Click OK.Configuring AuthenticationYou can configure authentication for your profile by either creating a config.jaas file byhand or by using the Borland Management Console.Creating the config.jaas fileThe config.jaas file contains the data necessary to authenticate a user to one or morerealms and defines an authentication mechanism and provides the code to interact witha specific type of authentication mechanism. For example, a config.jaas file could looklike this:UserRealm {com.borland.security.provider.authn.BasicLoginModule requiredDRIVER=com.borland.datastore.jdbc.DataStoreDriverURL="jdbc:borland:dslocal:${config.jaas.path}/userdb.jds"TYPE=BASICLOGINUSERID=adminLOGINPASSWORD=admin;};This defines a realm called UserRealm, which requires the use of the BasicLoginModule. Italso provides information on the database used and how to login to it. For informationon LoginModules, their options, and the grammar of realm entries such as this, seeChapter 3, “Authentication.”Once the config.jaas file is complete, it is placed in the profile's folder.54 VisiBroker Security Guide
