In the early 1980’s she iscredited with running the first long form infomercialadvertisement for hair replacement. Jane has been thedynamic and charismatic spokesperson in thoseTV advertisements for over 20 years. To this day,that infomercial format is widely copied by hairreplacement companies and hair Transplantcompanies alike.Nine years ago Jane Genesi contacted Hollywood hairreplacement legend <strong>Erwin</strong> <strong>Kupitz</strong>. <strong>Erwin</strong> is knownworldwide for his extraordinary wig making and hairreplacement designs. He routinely designs for thebiggest movie studios in Hollywood and works withnearly all of the biggest movie stars, as well as starsin the music world. A quick Google of <strong>Erwin</strong>’sname reveals pages of his award winning workand credentials.Jane’s question was simple, “Why should movie starsand only wealthy people have access to the high levelwork of someone like <strong>Erwin</strong> <strong>Kupitz</strong>?” Jane’s centralidea was to bring this level of product and design tothe average hair replacement client. It was then that apartnership and a personal friendship between <strong>JA</strong><strong>Alternatives</strong> and <strong>Erwin</strong> <strong>Kupitz</strong> was formed.Through the years Jane Genesi has remained dedicatedto bringing the most advanced hair replacementtechnology and products to her clients. She is responsiblefor <strong>JA</strong>A’s commitment to constantly movingforward and never accepting the status quo. Along theway she managed to open 5 more locations for a totalof 6 today in addition to taking on a business partner.In 1986 Jim McGowan found <strong>JA</strong> <strong>Alternatives</strong> as aclient. He joined the <strong>JA</strong>A staff and quickly became thecentral sales and marketing engine for the company.Jim brought a solid advertising background, salesexpertise, and a genuine love for the business to <strong>JA</strong>A.Today, In addition to being a partner in the company,Jim runs the day to day operations and produces all ofthe TV, print, and web marketing for <strong>JA</strong> <strong>Alternatives</strong>in-house. This has allowed <strong>JA</strong>A to carefully controltheir marketing content and to “cost effectively”produce high end advertising.Like hundreds of other hair replacement studios, <strong>JA</strong><strong>Alternatives</strong> relied on the major “wholesale” haircompanies for products. Although there are severalwholesale companies that are acceptable, <strong>JA</strong>Aclients were constantly asking for higherquality hair, more precise ventilation, more naturallooking hairlines, better base construction, andfiner, more delicate base materials. Along the way<strong>JA</strong>A even partnered with selected wholesalersto produce specific products, but that neverproduced the product level they were after.
