Fourmonthslater,TheITFwascontactedbythenewcrew<strong>of</strong>Enigmagaswithafurtherclaim<strong>of</strong>unpaidwages.ThevesselhadloadedinUkraineandwassailingforIzmir.EnteringtheAliagaanchoragethecrewdeclaredastrike.TheunionadvisedtheHarbourMasterandPortStateControl<strong>of</strong>thesituationandattemptednegotiationswiththeowner.On03Apriltheowneradvisedthatwageswouldbepaidincash,buton09Apriltheowner’slawyeradvisedthatwhilsttheywouldpaythewagestheywouldrepatriateonlyfour<strong>of</strong>the14crewandtherestwouldhavetoremainonboard.Thisproposalwasrejectedbythecrew.On10Apriltheunionprovidedfreshwaterandprovisionsonboardandalegalprocesswassetinmotion.Atthispointitbecameapparentthatthevesselwasunderarrestbythebunkersupplier.Itappearstherewerediscussionsbetweenashipbreakerandtheownertosellthevesselforscrap,butnoprogresswasmadeduetothepoorconditions.On04MayPortStateControlattendedthevesselandnotedthatbunkersupplieswere8
