Organic peroxide subclass 5.2 category B (equivalent to UN Type B)A substance is classified as organic peroxide subclass 5.2 category B if:i. the substance is listed in the UN Model Regulations as having a classification or division of anorganic peroxide (classification division 5.2) and is designated as Type B; orii. the substance is an organic peroxide and propagates a detonation as defined in UN Test Series Aand does not propagate a detonation under confined conditions as defined in UN Test Series B andpropagates a rapid deflagration as defined in UN Test Series C and does not propagate a rapiddeflagration under confined conditions as defined in UN Test Series D and exhibits violent effectwhen heated under confinement as defined in UN Test Series E and undergoes a thermal explosionunder confined conditions as defined in UN Test Series G; oriii. the substance is an organic peroxide and propagates a detonation as defined in UN Test Series Aand does not propagate a detonation under confinement as defined in UN Test Series B and eitherpropagates a slow deflagration or does not propagate deflagration as defined in UN Test Series Cand displays violent effect when heated under confinement as defined in UN Test Series E andundergoes a thermal explosion under confinement as defined in UN Test Series G; oriv. the substance is an organic peroxide and propagates a partial detonation as defined in UN TestSeries A and propagates a rapid deflagration as defined in UN Test Series C and does notpropagate a rapid deflagration under confinement as defined in UN Test Series D and displays aviolent effect when heated under confinement as defined in UN Test Series E and undergoes athermal explosion under confinement as defined in UN Test Series G; orv. the substance is an organic peroxide and propagates a partial detonation as defined in UN TestSeries A and propagates a slow or no deflagration as defined in UN Test Series C and displaysviolent effect when heated under confinement as defined in UN Test Series E and undergoes athermal explosion under confinement as defined in UN Test Series G; orvi. the substance is an organic peroxide and does not propagate a detonation as defined in UN TestSeries A and propagates a rapid deflagration as defined in UN Test Series C and does notpropagate a rapid deflagration under confinement as defined in UN Test Series D and displaysviolent effect when heated under confinement as defined in UN Test Series E and undergoes athermal explosion under confinement as defined in UN Test Series G; orvii.
