He shall be working closely with the local Generali entities incoordinating and managing procurement activities and processes to ensure asuccessful implementation of the procurement system across the region.He has also been assigned the task of overseeing all procurement activities within the Regional Office(Generali Asia), Generali Hong Kong Branch and GEB Asia Pacific. On Mar 11th, a massive earthquake of 9 Richter scale hit Eastern Japanfollowed by a tsunami, resulting in a deadly and disastrous event.The Japan Branch’s agents, staff and management promptly decided to initiate a voluntary fundraising donating EUR 28000 to support the victims of tsunami in Tohoku region. The funds werehanded to “Italians of Japan for Tohoku’s rebirth” a group, sponsored by the Italian Embassy in Japan,created by the Italian Chamber of Commerce, the Italian Women’s Association in Tokyo, the MSClub and by the association Alumni Bocconi Tokyo. The donations will be handed over to the cityof Rikuzentakada that saw the loss of 7,000 lives. Moreover, theBranch’s staff and management decided to organize a voluntary fund raising activity. The initiative wasrolled out after the office hours, during the month of April. The staff actively participated in contributingby baking cakes and sharing refreshments. Thanks also to the precious support and generosity ofGenerali International’s colleagues, the funds collected totaled to HKD 16,600 (around EUR 1600).The voluntary contributions were donated to the Hong Kong Red Cross.Hong Kong Branch staffand management during thedonation activity.(Photo Credit: Tammy Ng)6
