Tax Pmt-Require ZeroDollar(US-Only) Check to require AP EFT to perform zero-dollar processing on yourtax payment vendor(s). If unselected, then zero dollar processing will beskipped. Zero dollar processing is identical to pre-notification - just a differentname for the CCD+ entry class. For an explanation of the pre-notification andzero dollar process and whether to Require PreNotes, see Appendix A - Pre-Notification Explained in this manual.Header/Trailer IDThis ID is used to identify particular Header/Trailer records (in Header/TrailerMaintenance DD.270.00) with a Company Paying Account. If you are notusing Header/Trailer records then simply leave the default value of “A”. If anID letter is entered, but does not have a match in Header/Trailer Maintenance,then no header or trailer will be used with the Company Paying Account. If anID is entered that has not yet been entered in Header/Trailer Maintenance (otherthan “A”) then a warning message is given. ID’s A-Z are available for use.CommunicationsOptions FrameThe following fields and buttons define the requirements of yourcommunications setup. Refer to your desktop O/S (Windows95/98/NT/2000/XP) for more detailed information on setting up dialupnetworking. This information must be accurate for the EFT file transmission towork properly.Communications TypeBefore selecting a Communications Type option, see Appendix B, Choosing aCommunications Option. The options are:• Built-in Communications. Create the EFT file and send it to the bankusing AP EFT’s built-in communications software (setup is via yourdesktop’s dial-up networking). No other communications software isrequired.• User’s Communications. Create the EFT file and send it to the bankusing external communications software. To use this option, you must haveinstalled a separate communications program on your system. Use thisoption if you want to copy the EFT file to a diskette – use a batch file here toperform the copy.• Built-in - Write/Read diskette. Create the EFT file on a diskette, or readan EFT file already written to a diskette and send it to the bank using BuiltinCommunications. With this option you MUST be using Built-inCommunications on the second machine (where the diskette will be read). Ifyou want to transfer the file or simply write it to a diskette to transmit, notusing Built-in Communications, then use “User’s Communications” andwrite a batch file to copy the EFT file to a diskette.User’s CommunicationsIf you have selected Communications Type - User’s Communications, you mustenter the name of the program, batch file, etc. which will execute the externalcommunications software. Use the Browse... button to easily locate thispath/file. Dial-up PropertiesFramePhone NumberEnter the phone number to be dialed to reach the bank. To configure specialmodifiers before or after the phone number, use the Locations feature of dial-upnetworking.Connect UsingThis combobox has the list of modems setup in your desktop dialup networking.The one that is selected is the one currently selected in your desktop setup andwill be used to communicate with your bank. The Configure button allows youto edit your dialup networking modem selections.From LocationThis combobox has the list of locations setup in your desktop dialupnetworking. The current location from your desktop settings is shown here, andwill be used during communications with your bank. The Configure buttonallows you to edit the dialing properties of your locations.Terminal EmulationWhen communicating with the bank, special terminal emulation is sometimesrequired. Terminal emulation specifies how the information from the bank isformatted on your screen. Use this combobox to select the terminal emulationthat your bank has specified. Below are the available options:• None• Standard TTY• PC ANSI (default)• VT52• VT100Echo OnWhen communicating with the bank, it is sometimes required that keystrokesbeing entered be “echoed” back to the terminal window. The default is EchoOff (unchecked)Upload ProtocolEnter the communications protocol for sending the EFT file. The options are:Xmodem Checksum, Xmodem CRC, Xmodem 1K, Ymodem Batch, YmodemG, Zmodem, Kermit, Compuserve B+, ASCII.
