• Built-In Communications. The Positive Pay file will be created andwritten to the path and filename you entered in Company Paying Account(DD.260.00) (Positive Pay tab). Next, the Bank Communications(DD.510.00) screen is displayed, and you can “Dial the Bank” or “PlayScript” to send the file to the bank. When the bank requests to transmit thefile, click the “Upload File” button to send the file using the protocolselected in Company Paying Account – Communications Setup (DD.260.00)(Positive Pay tab).• User’s Communications. The Positive Pay file will be created andwritten to the path and filename you selected in Company Paying Account(DD.260.00) (Positive Pay tab). Next, the program, batch file, or whateverfile you selected in Company Paying Account will be executed.IMPORTANT NOTE:When using “User Communications” it is VERY important that whenthe alternate means of transmitting the Positive Pay file has completed,that it is EXITED, so that the Positive Pay “Keep/Delete” optionexecutes. Simply by “tabbing” off the communications program willnot allow the “Keep/Delete” option to execute. The “Keep/Delete”option is CRITICAL to the correct functioning of Positive Pay.Exiting the ScreenIf using “Built-in” communications and the upload was successful or using“User” communications and you’ve EXITED the other application (bank’ssoftware, browser, batch file, etc.), then the Keep, Delete dialog box appears -after the Communications process has finished:KeepThe batches selected are marked as “Transmitted” and date transmitted isstamped with the Solomon Business date.DeleteNo record updates are performed .
