Planning BoardThe updated Master Plan for the town was finally completed during the2 nd quarter <strong>of</strong> <strong>2011</strong>. Many hours <strong>of</strong> time and effort went into this planwith many contributors. Mike Tardiff, Director and Vanessa Gould,Sr. Planner, Central NH Regional Planning Commission contributedgreatly in supporting our efforts and locating funding for areas <strong>of</strong> thePlan. Copies <strong>of</strong> the Plan are available to download on the <strong>Town</strong>’s website;hard copies may be viewed at the Land Use Office, Selectmen’s Office,<strong>Town</strong> Clerk’s Office and the Library.We have prepared eight (8) proposed amendments to our Zoning Ordinanceto be included on the ballot at the upcoming <strong>Town</strong> Meeting inMarch 2012. These proposed amendments include: interpretation <strong>of</strong>signage area; removal <strong>of</strong> underground utility facilities regulation sothat current Building Codes will be utilized & followed; allowing equalopportunity for certain types <strong>of</strong> restaurants within our Commercial (C-1) Zones; allowing housing types within the Business District (B-1) &Residential District (R-1); nuisance noise situations; simplifying forsmall operations for the provision child care; update Table I - Use Regulations;and an amendment to add provisions to allow individual AccessoryApartments in the Zoning Ordinance since there currently arenone.A Public Hearing has been held on these proposed amendments and acopy <strong>of</strong> the Warrant Articles are posted for viewing in the usual locations(<strong>Town</strong> Hall, Post Office, Library & Website) and will also be listedin the <strong>2011</strong> Annual <strong>Town</strong> Report. If you have any questions beforevoting, please contact the Land Use Office or any Planning Board member.During the year <strong>2011</strong>, Rick Davies chaired the Capital ImprovementsProgram Committee (CIP); Barbara Annis chaired the Road Safety Committee,Peter Wyman chaired the Site Plan Review Committee and PaulViolette chaired the Housing Committee. All members and alternateswere assigned to various committees to provide a good cross-section <strong>of</strong>ideas and expertise.Don Hall joined the Board during <strong>2011</strong> as an Alternate Board memberand J D Colcord resigned his position as Alternate.
